American pop star Amerie, who is of partial Korean descent, will give her first concert in Korea May 24-25 at the AX Hall in Seoul. The title of the concert is "2007 Amerie Love Korea Live Concert."
K2M Entertainment, the organizer of the concert, said Amerie's concert is being sponsored by Pearl S. Buck International Korea, the foundation for people of mixed heritage, and all proceeds from the concert will be donated to the foundation.
The agency also added that Amerie will visit the foundation to give hope to children of mixed heritage, like herself, and will invite children from underprivileged families to her concert as VIPs.
Amerie, who debuted in 2002 with the song "All I Have," gained enormous popularity for her 2005 album "Touch," earning the nickname "the darkhorse of American R&B."
During her visit, the singer will give interviews, meet with journalists and hold autograph-signing events.
